Penny House Café Review – Richmond – Australia
The Penny House Café is one of the emerging café’s that are popping up all over Richmond, Australia. As one of Melbourne’s inner suburbs, Richmond is becoming host to a lot of respectable cafes and restaurants. It’s a good time to live in the area.
My wife and I decided to head down to the Penny House for lunch. They had an a la carte menu in addition to a soup du jour and a sandwich display at the front. The food was typical of a café and they did in house espresso on site.
I immediately went for the chorizo and halloumi sandwich because I am a sucker for both of these ingredients. I love any form of cured meat or sausage, and a cheese that is salty and firm enough to grill, I mean come on, who wouldn’t go for something like that. Salty satisfying goodness.
The sandwich was heated up for and served within a respectable amount of time. It was enjoyable and hit the spot. It wasn’t something that blew me away, but it did the job. I enjoyed. Not a bad café, prices were fair, food was good and it was a neat place to hang out.
