Comfort Inn – Sovereign Hill – Ballarat

Recently a few of us went to Ballarat to compete in some local sport competitions and we stayed at the Comfort Inn on Sovereign Hill.  With our room breakfast was included.  I am usually not a huge fan of hotel breakfasts that are included with your stay.  Habitually they are ordinary and don’t have much more than jam and toast – not my idea of excitement.  This time I was pleasantly surprised.

The breakfast we got with our room was really impressive for a free meal.  It was a hot buffet style spread that included espresso style pod coffee.  They had fresh yoghurt with berries and granola, grilled tomatoes, pancakes, bacon wrapped eggs, sausage and orange juice.  It was a great.  The food was not top notch, but it was far superior to a regular hotel breakfast of toast, fruit and instant coffee.  Good job Comfort Inn – keep it up!
